BE CAREFUL YOUR PIERCING TAKES TIME TO HEAL

If you think that once you do the piercing everything will be ok, you are very wrong. Piercings, in general, take a good amount of time to heal and while they heal they need proper continous care especially the ear cartilage.

Precautions

DON'T TOUCH IT

OUR HANDS ARE NEVER BACTERIA FREE

The worst habit is touching your piercing, it is there and not going anywhere. The bacteria will be trapped inside the piercing and that will be a huge problem because the symptoms will not show till it is too late to discover. If you want to touch it just wash your hands thoroughly before.

DON'T APPLY OINTMENT

DON'T IMPROVISE ONLY DO THE RIGHT THING

Many people logically think that they will prevent the bacteria from forming or speed up the healing of piercing by applying ointment. This thought is absolutely false and will cause infection because first, it will speed up the healing which might grow excess skin around the piercing, secondly, the ointment is oil based so after the effect is gone they will act like a petroleum gel trapping the bacteria and causing infection.

BEWARE OF CLOTHES

MIGHT GET STUCK WITH FABRIC

Be very careful while you wear your clothes, and make sure that if you wear anything near the piercing it must clean on a daily basis. Hair is a very tricky reason as the hair has dust and airborne bacteria that will transmit to the fresh piercing and cause infection.
